The Prayer of Paul to the Ephesians
A Prayer for the Ephesians
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
-Ephesians 3:14-19
Praise the Lord for using P. Mau as he lead the group in our devotion, the summary of the message is as follows:
-Paul was in prison when he wrote the letter to the Ephesians.
-He loved them dearly and cared so much for their spirituality.
-Church is not the building, it's the people.
-Paul's purpose in writing the letter was to strengthen their faith.
-He is appealing to the people.
WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR YOU?
-Guide
-Teacher
-Conviction
-Source of strength, will sustain you
-Power outside our own strength
-Imparts power in the new life with Christ Jesus (when we accepted Him as our personal saviour)
-Paul prayed that they may be strengthen through the power of the Holy Spirit.
-He also prayed that they would totally surrender their life to Christ.
-Be well founded with the WORD.
-To deny yourself is to acknowledge that it is no longer you living and ruling in your body but Christ Jesus.
-Surrender it all and let God take control.
-Paul was a bond servant of God.
-Please HIM rather than please ourselves.
-Seek God's will; dwell and read the Bible.
-Be rooted in Christ; He is the strong foundation that holds you.
-Grow deep in love with God.
-Live with the fullness of Christ.
-When we realize that we are sinners, that is God's love for us, because He offers eternal life.
WHAT IS YOUR GOAL IN LIFE?
-Live your life to the fullest, bring glory and honor to His name in everything you do and in where ever you go.
-If you have God, you have everything.
-Christ is the fullness of God which will become the believer's dwelling in His likeness.
